Ween came about in 84'.
Gene and Dean Ween.
If you have never heard Ween before... you're missing out. My description of it will surely not shed any light on this band. I sometimes really love Ween and sometimes some of their stuff annoys me. Then again, I'm sort of a music nazi and analyze everything I hear. Well this band has always been know to record in low-fi, carry strange lyrics or a combination of melodies that pick at you with pleasure, and eccentric vocals.
This is a mixture of various albums with select tracks, I deem worthy in my personal collection.

I don't "get" Ween. It seems to be a generational thing, i.e. if you're over the age of 32 or so, you just don't like this band no matter how many people try and convince you otherwise. In my mind they are like a South Park cartoon, yes, I understand it is funny to a lot of people, but to me it's just yelling.
I love Ween.
I guess you might be right Gray. Ween is a different kind of band and sound. Although even though they did the funny shit, over all they are talented songwriters and skilled musicians that just happened to like getting fucked up a little too much. Though I've heard rumors that their live shows these days just aren't what they used to be. I gather that's what years on the road playing the same old songs will do to you. I have select songs I absolutely love and some I can't stand, but Ween definitely has a few hidden treasures if your willing to dig in the muck to find them. Some of my favorites are: Tender Situation, Object, Big Jilm, She Fucks Me...etc.
